Lock Screen App 1.14

'Lock Screen App' is a convenient application that allows you to easily lock your device without using the power button. This feature is especially useful if you find it inconvenient to press the power button every time you want to lock your device or if you are concerned about wearing out the power button. With one touch, you can lock your device, just as if you pressed the power button.

The app has a number of features that make it appealing:

• Lock device with one touch (Same effect as pressing the power button)
• Not a widget, so it does not run as a service in the background
• Auto-kill itself after locking to save battery and memory
• Tiny in size (<100k)

These features are available in the free version of the app. However, there is also a donation version that offers additional features:

• A slightly faster locking experience
• Ability to lock by long-pressing the search button (not available on xpad/apad and devices without a search key)
• Access to updates earlier than the free version

If you find the app useful, consider purchasing the donation version to support the developer. You can find the donation version by using the 'View more applications' link in the app's settings page.

Notes:

• This app requires Device Administrator permission.
• Compatibility issues:
• 1. New/updated Moto devices may not be supported due to restrictions imposed by Moto on lock screen functionality.
  2. For devices running Android 4.X, flashing (screen on then off again) may occur. Enabling 'Force Lock' in Lock Screen Settings can fix this issue.
  3. The app has been tested on Galaxy Nexus and various Android simulators, but it may not run or uninstall on all devices. If you encounter any problems, feel free to contact the developer.

To uninstall the app:

Locking the screen in Android requires the use of the device administration function. Therefore, before uninstalling the app, you must deactivate device administration. Here's how:

1. Go to "Lock Screen Settings" in your launcher.
2. Select "Remove Device Administrator".

Alternatively, you can do this via the device settings:

1. Go to Settings > Location & security (or Security).
2. Select "Device administrators".
3. Uncheck this app.

After deactivating device administration, you can uninstall the app in the Play Store. If you encounter an error during uninstallation on Play Store, you can do it through Settings > Apps > Lock Screen > Uninstall.

If you prefer to use other hardware keys to unlock your device, you can try the 'Widget Locker' or 'No Lock' app, which are alternative options not developed by me.
